What information do I need to provide for you to get started?
First you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire. This will allow us to determine your specific needs. You will need to share all relevant financial documents, such as transaction records, invoices, and access to accounting software.
Do you offer guidance on using accounting software?
Yes. Some research may be required, but we are happy to help you find the right records system for your specific needs.
Can you prepare financials for my accountant?
Yes. Ensuring your accountant has all the necessary information for review is what we do. We do request if there are any industry specific data needed; you provide this information prior to any planning of monthly or yearly bookkeeping procedures.
How do you ensure confidentiality and privacy?
We follow state required privacy policies; sensitive financial information is handled securely and kept private.
Can I request custom services beyond your plan packages?
Yes. This option can be used for more extensive and time-consuming projects. We can discuss customized services based on your specific needs. Contact us by email with your request and we can set up a 30-minute Administrative Planning Session if we agree to do the project and you approve the quoted price and time to complete.
What administrative services do you provide?
We provide form and spreadsheet creations along with research pertaining to software and information gathering from sites such as irs.gov and comptroller.texas.gov. There is a four-step process we follow for such projects. First a request is made and upon approval of project and turn-around time is determined, your document will be drafted and sent back for review and editing. You can choose to approve the document or send it with your changes. Once your changes are made and you receive the document back, it is considered completed. If you keep the document past the determined deadline, it will be considered as approved. The document can be revised after approvals and will follow the same four steps as its creation. All project creations and revisions accepted for original work will need to be from and by Steady Steps Bookkeeping. We do not allow any projects to be accepted that have been created, copyrighted or trademarked by anyone other than your company or Steady Steps Bookkeeping. If this information is not disclosed, you can be held liable.
What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround time is based on the complexity of the project and time it takes to complete.
How long are the Operational Planning Sessions?
Our weekly and monthly sessions allow for a maximum of a one-hour video or phone meeting per session. We do not have to meet for the full time period. There is not a rollover of time if it isn’t used.
How do your bookkeeping plans ensure compliance and maintain financial safeguards through advisory and monitoring of internal controls?
We provide guidance on implementing internal controls to safeguard your financial integrity. While we monitor and advise on best practices, it is your responsibility to maintain adherence to these controls. Consistent failure to comply with recommended practices may result in termination of contract.
